Wibbly wobbly, timey whimey... stuff

I have an addictive personality.

Well, no, not really. But I do have this tendency to get addicted real quick. It can be anything—a celebrity, TV show, a certain type of food, a gadget, anything really. This is why I’ve never went near drugs or smoked a cig or even hit the tables and slot machines when I was in Las Vegas.

I knew then as I do now that there is a small possibility I’d get hooked.

Anyone following me on Twitter probably has a clue by now of my current obsession.

David Tennant as the 10th Doctor with his companions

Obviously, I got into the show late. I only started watching Doctor Who two weeks ago, and not even seriously at first. I think I woke up and saw the hubs watching, so eventually I started watching too. I caught maybe two-thirds of The Beast Below and thought, hmm... interesting. And then I saw Winston Churchill and the Daleks in Victory of the Daleks and that was it for me.

I was hooked.

I mean, come on, a time lord, time travel, a "spaceship" masquerading as a police box, robots that remind me so much of R2D2 but a lot meaner and constantly saying, "Exterminate. Exterminate."

We finished the series that weekend.

And then I found out we weren't watching the first season, and that the Doctor we were watching was already the 11th incarnation. Off I went to the interwebs, searching for earlier seasons—erm, series, as they are called in British TV—and started watching from the relaunched 2005 version onward.

And got hooked again. This time to the 10th Doctor.

The Doctor
Before I start with the obvious, David Tennant was brilliant as the Doctor. He was quirky and charming,  at times hard but emotional too and passionate, and fired off insults and instructions and realizations in rapid-fire succession. Of the three doctors I've seen so far, his version of the Doctor is the one I like best (followed by Christoper Eccleston. Sorry, Matt Smith, but you have a lot of time to prove me wrong.)

The fact that David Tennant is so cute as the Doctor helped a little. OK, helped a lot. A whole lot. Especially when he wears his eyeglasses.

The Doctor with his sexy glasses.
Unfortunately for the husband, our nightly viewing of Doctor Who resulted in me having a massive crush on David Tennant. I protested at the fact that he's no longer the current Doctor, so off to the interwebs again I went, to try to find some answers. And every interview I watched of David Tennant explaining why he has to leave the series made me crush on him even more.

Now to look for a copy of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Apparently, David Tennant played Barty Crouch, Jr.! Oh and Casanova too!
